Congratulations to Lucy Biddle (LVI) who was invited to spend a week at Balliol College over the summer, attending the UK Mathematics Trust Summer School, following her outstanding performance in last year’s Maths Challenges.  Lucy recently scored 8 A*s at GCSE, a terrific achievement.  

Jasmine Kayser (UVI) has won a full scholarship to Berklee School of Music, Boston, USA, for 2014.Jasmine joined The Purcell School in 2012, and currently studies jazz drum kit with Darren Altman, jazz piano with Simon Colam and percussion with Daniella Ganeva. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves last night at the end of term ‘Prom’. The Sixth Form led the way with some inventive fancy dress ranging from the downright scary to the (very slightly) raunchy. An exhibition of work by our 2013 A-Level art students was launched on Saturday at Bushey Museum.  Visitors were treated to music performed by the Purcell Flute Choir as they viewed the artwork.Admission to Bushey Museum is free, and the exhibition runs until 1st December.  Opening times: Thursday to Sundays 11am – 4pmBushey Museum, Rudolph Rd, Bushey, Hertfordshire WD23 3HW
